Guys, listen up.  These rules apply to you when you're dating online.  Online dating is a wonderful way to meet the ladies, and when you play it cool and don't come off as weird or a creep, you could have some nice dates and perhaps meet the lady of your dreams.  So, here are some simple principles to follow to come across in the right way.  Some of these are flexible, so use your instincts and feel out each situation.  Each woman is different, and when you're dating online you need to trust your gut and not come on too strong, or too detached.

1) Don't Come on Too Strong

It's never a good idea to freak a lady out and ask her more than she's willing to answer too soon.  Don't ask for her contact information before she's ready to give it or ask her personal questions that are inappropriate.  You can really scare someone in the online dating scene by coming off too strong too quickly.

2) Be Interested in Her

This is simple, and you should be able to understand.  When doing internet dating, you want to not talk more than she does or make a big deal about yourself without giving her qualities equal attention.  A woman wants to feel like you are listening and that you value her, whether online dating or in the real world, so pay attention!  Try to empathize with her and remember the things that she says she likes. 

3) Don't Play Too Aloof

A woman wants to feel like you like her, if you actually do.  If you're interested in a woman, you have to show her that you are without coming on too strong and pushing her away.  Use your head.  Women are sensitive and you need to cater to that when you're online dating, or even when you're dating in person!

4) Take Your Time

This is along the same lines as rule #1.  When you take your time a woman gets the sense that "time is of the essence" when you're doing internet dating.  When you take your time, a woman will trust you more.  She'll more fully believe that you're interested because you're willing to take the time.
