Ok ladies, this is important so listen up.  There are supposedly 4 types of guys that you want to avoid when you're online dating.  Internet matchmaking is a great phenomenon and offers you lots of different kinds of people to choose from, but there are some serious "red flag guys" that you want to avoid.  Let's go through each of them one by one so you know what I'm talking about.

Let's talk about the Mama's Boy. We all know this type.  He's 45 and still lives with mom, and when you're chatting on the internet dating site all he talks about is his mom.  He brings his mom on the date with you, or maybe invites you to his mom's house so she can make you dinner.  Run away as fast as possible!  If he admits on his online dating profile that he's a mama's boy, it's time to run girlfriend.   He's no good, because you'll never live up to mama.  Get rid of him by telling him you don't like his mother. 

Now the next type is the Body Builder Guy.  Seriously, unless you're a body building woman, which is very cool, you should avoid this type of guy when you're searching the profiles on the online dating site.  If his profile picture shows him with a dumb bell in one hand and a protein shake in the other, girl you better not give that guy the time of day.  He's always going to be at the gym, and all he'll talk about is whey protein, creatine, and his body building trophies. 

Now this type is pretty easy to spot on internet dating sites, because you can just tell that it's true, even in cyber space.  The Womanizer is a classic male type, and when you're online dating, he'll be seeing many women at the same time.  This guy is worthless.  He'll compliment you and treat you like a Queen, and then he'll forget what your name is.   You can smell this type from a mile away, so don't fall for his charms when internet dating.

There's also the Workaholic type, and we all know why this guy is no good either.  If you're online dating, and all he talks about is work, and he doesn't respond to your messages for days because he's been working non-stop, then this guy isn't for you.  You'll never see him because he'll always be working.  If the guy doesn't have enough time to chat with you on the online dating site, he doesn't have time to spend with you offline either.  If he puts work before you, say sayonara.

So these are the classic four types to avoid when online dating and offline dating, but know that these are generalizations.  You can find that gym guy who really is very special and interesting, or the workaholic that makes the time to spend with you.  You can't write someone off immediately because you stereotype them, but often these stereotypes can come true.  Stay alert when you're dating online.
