The story of Chris and Jennifer isn't uncommon.  They are just one of the many success stories from internet dating.  Chris and Jennifer met on a particularly popular matchmaking site that I won't name, and this happened in January.  Jennifer had been on the site for four months, and Chris was searching through the site for free at that time.  The reason he signed up for the online dating site, you ask?  He signed onto this online dating service to contact Jennifer. 

Chris contacted Jennifer as soon as his profile was up and his subscription to the online dating service was in effect.  He immediately sent Jennifer his email address and a quote from the movie "Serendipity".  It was one of Jennifer's favorite movies, so she responded to Chris' request. 

The two exchanged lengthy emails for about a week.  This included photos of each other as well. On the deck of the cruise Chris said, "I have to ask you something very important ..." and bent down on one knee.  Jennifer said, "What are you doing?" And Chris replied, "You're my best friend ..." And Jennifer was busy thinking, "Oh my God!" Once Jennifer realized he was waiting for a response, through her sobs she replied "Yes!"

Chris slipped the perfect ring on her finger, and the rest is history.
